Rowan University is currently seeking a Director of Annual Giving to manage all aspects of a comprehensive annual fund program. The Director of Annual Giving will oversee the University's Annual Giving program, the annual Employee Charitable Campaign, the Senior Class Giving Program, the Day of Giving, and will assist with the annual solicitation of the volunteer groups and boards. The Director of Annual Giving’s major responsibilities include creating and implementing a comprehensive, strategic and integrated plan to maximize annual fund contributions university-wide. The Director of Annual Giving will need to develop strategies to engage online graduates and he or she will be responsible for identifying annual giving opportunities which comprises all gifts, from all sources, through all channels that are solicited on an annual basis. The Director will oversee the Phonathon Manager who is responsible for managing the student phonathon program.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly experienced fundraising professional, with concentrated annual fund expertise. The Director of Annual Giving will possess the stature and interpersonal skills to meaningfully engage and support the Institution’s diverse leaders, alumni, students, volunteers, donors, and prospects in a manner that generates excitement, facilitates action, deepens commitment, and increases support. He or she will have the proven ability to strategically and effectively navigate within multifaceted organizational environments, ideally demonstrated through direct experience within a complex research university setting. The Director of Annual Giving will be a transparent and collaborative team member who thrives in a workplace that strongly values diversity, creativity, innovation, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

The Director of Annual Giving will be a member of the Division of University Advancement’s Senior Management Team, which consists of all direct reports to the Senior Vice President, and the managers of the Division’s major functional units. This leadership team develops strategies to address the challenges and opportunities facing the Division.
