Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sponsorships and Grants Manager (SGM) satisfies a vital role by strengthening philanthropic relationships with corporations and managing all grant opportunities. The SGM pursues strategic partnerships in order to increase philanthropic funding from corporations and foundations which have visions that align with that of AtlantiCare. The SGM cultivates, solicits and stewards current and potentially corporate and foundation partners. The Manager manages all relationships with positive communications through multi-channel communications methods. The Manager also maintains and develops significant sponsor giving to AtlantiCare events.

This position also collaborates with Marketing and Public Relations, develops effective acknowledgement, follow-up, renewal and upselling strategies, and ensures accuracy of all sponsor data in raiser’s Edge. The manager will identify funding opportunities related to events and AtlantiCare programs and grant opportunities and coordinates all elements of the process that secures maximum grant funding. The Manager works as a key member of the development team providing assistance and status updates to colleagues; shares all information with fellow members that improves individual or overall department effectiveness. The Manager will also rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years fundraising or similar experience required. Valid NJ Driver's license required.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
Demonstrates the ability to perform the department specific competencies as listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.


WORK ENVIRONMENT;
This position requires both desk and computer work a majority of the day, with frequent walking, standing and reaching, as well as outside visits required to manage corporate relationships.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
This position reports directly to department Executive Director of the Foundation and may supervise incumbents as assigned. Provide assistance to and takes on special assignments for the Executive Director as needed
