Director of Annual Giving

General Description:

The Director of Annual Giving works as a member of the Development Team with the CEO, Special Projects Director, and Board Development Committee and assists in all aspects of the fundraising program to help the agency achieve its fundraising and visibility goals.  The Director of Annual Giving (DAG) directs and manages a comprehensive fund development program focused on individuals, corporations, and foundations to ensure the FY budget is met. This would include developing the strategies to identify, cultivate, and solicit annual and major gifts on a continuing basis from individuals, corporations and foundations in a manner consistent with the fundraising goals of the organization. The DAG will also assist the CEO in some aspects of the organization’s board development.  The DAG supervises the Administrative Assistant.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Red Door Society, direct mail appeals, individual and major donor solicitation, corporate and foundation giving, grant writing, prospect research and cultivation. 

 Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a positive, flexible and accommodating nature and attitude.  Has the ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel (as needed), in order to achieve development objectives
  • Ability to work individually, as well as in a team environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Status: Full-Time / Exempt

Reports to: CEO

Education: Bachelor's Degree, CFRE preferred

Experience: Minimum three years in proven, successful fundraising. Major gift experience a plus.
